Bend DMV

We showed up for my son’s driving test appt with no time to spare and we were promptly greeted by the instructor as well as Brian, the supervisor. Very friendly people. We ran into an issue with our insurance card and they patiently waited for me to call the insurance company and resolve it and then took my son on his test even though it was past the time and they were EXTREMELY busy. While we waited for them to return, we watched the supervisor help everyone that walked in with kindness, knowledge and patience. I’ve never seen better customer service given (and this is the DMV we are talking about). When the instructor and my son returned they very promptly helped us finish the visit with getting my son’s photo taken. Brian congratulated my son as we left. I would make a special trip if I lived somewhere else to take care of all my DMV business here. Great job you guys!

Visiting the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is often an errand most people like to put off, but my recent experience at the Bend DMV, largely thanks to Theresa, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warmth and efficiency that is all too rare in such settings. Theresa stood out as a beacon of professionalism and kindness. Her 20 years experience resulted in being incredibly knowledgeable about the myriad of services the DMV offers but also displayed a level of patience and understanding that made the entire process feel seamless. She answered every question with a smile, ensuring that I fully understood each step of the process, from paperwork to payment(which was not cheap). What really set Theresa apart was her ability to manage a bustling environment with grace. Despite the busy atmosphere, she made each interaction feel personal, never rushing through her explanations or diminishing the importance of each visitor's needs. Her attention to detail was impeccable, ensuring that no part of the process was overlooked, which greatly contributed to the efficiency of my visit. Moreover, Theresa's positive attitude seemed to influence the entire office. Her colleagues mirrored her professionalism and friendliness, creating an environment that was surprisingly pleasant. It's clear that her presence uplifts both the staff and the clientele, making the Bend DMV a model for how such offices should operate. In conclusion, Theresa is an exceptional representative of the Bend/Redmond DMV and public service as a whole. Her dedication to providing outstanding service, coupled with her genuine care for the people she assists, makes her an invaluable asset to the department. If only more public service experiences were as positive as the one Theresa provides, errands like these would no longer be something to dread.

Best DMV experience I've ever had! From before I even walked in the door, there was a man greeting everyone and ushering us all inside out of the cold. He was so helpful and clear in what everyone needed to do (turns out he is the new manager, and doing a great job IMO). All of the staff there were so very helpful and kind! The wait wasn't bad at all. I went at opening time (10am on a Wednesday) and was nervous 41 I was out with 39 minutes. Thank you DMV staff!

This is the best DMV I have ever been to. These people have it dialed. Tthey are very efficient and experts at customer service. Brian helped me at first and then Marc helped me resolve everything. Both of these guys were awesome. There was also very helpful and friendly woman walking around the waiting area checking in on everyone like a head chef or owner/GM at a restaurant would do. Blown away with this operation! 10 out of 10!!

OK I have to say I had the best experience ever at this DMV today. I had to get my license done and the manager there, I wish I would’ve got his name. If I’d thank him when I left. He was in a Hawaiian shirt and I can tell you he made the waiting, which truly wasn’t that long at all (it was like 45 minutes) but he made it so enjoyable. He kept asking everyone, do you have any questions etc. and he was joking around with people. It was just really pleasant compared to when I went there like a year or two ago. Today, customer service and interaction was just really nice instead of everybody being grumpy like when I was there last time. lol So, as many people that complain about DMV I have to say my experience was absolutely wonderful.

Marc (with a C) helped my husband and I today. We had a pretty complex situation and he was so patient and informative. He went above and beyond for us. We couldn’t be more thankful. In addition, this is the third time having to go to this DMV and every time it’s such a good experience. Never thought I would say that about a DMV office. They really have it dialed in there!

Bend DMV has made process changes that made my experience super quick and easy. From check in to completion my total time was 39 minutes. This was made possible by a joint effort: mine and DMV’s: I arrived prepared, per their website information. I came mid-week and mid-day during a lighter season. Note - Summer is Bend DMV’s busiest season, while Winter is quieter. DMV now offers a simple check-in process. After check-in and upon getting a number, I talked to the gentleman at the front desk. He made suggestions to help with my needs -so helpful! Once at the counter, my rep was friendly and knowledgeable. He worked on my need quickly and painlessly! Thank you, Marc! Ignore those nasty comments about Bend DMV. Instead, educate yourself per your need and requirements and arrive at a quieter time. You can then join me in singing positive praises for Bend DMV!
